Subtly rich and vibrant, our 2019 Chardonnay offers aromas of fresh pear, apple, brioche, vanilla, honeysuckle, toasted oak, and hints of white pear. The beautifully balanced palate exhibits flavors of sweet pear, honey crisp apple, lemon curd and subtle melon. The wine has medium body with a smooth richness leading to crisp, clean citrus and stone fruits through the mid palate and a lively fresh finish.Vineyard Designation

The Estate Bon Passe Vineyard is located in the southwestern bench lands of Napa Valley, in the Oak Knoll District appellation. This is the first vintage that is 100% estate grown fruit.Production Notes
100% Barrel fermented with native yeast. The wine was aged sur lie and the lees were stirred every 2 weeks for the first 7 months of aging. 100% of the wine went through malolactic fermentation.Winemaker Notes
The 2019 season started positively with ample rainfall during the winter, especially in late February. Some warmer weather in mid-March led to an average timing for budbreak in mid-March. Cooler weather in May raised concerns about bloom and pollination, but fruit set was successful leading to a near average crop size. The summer saw ideal weather for vine growth and fruit maturation, with moderate and even temperatures. A warming trend in early September brought the grapes to ripeness under ideal conditions, picking the Chardonnay on September 17th, a few days later than average.| Download Wine Tasting Notes | |
