Subtly rich and vibrant, our 2020 Chardonnay offers aromas of fresh pear and apple, brioche, lemon curd, vanilla and toasted oak, with subtle minerality. The beautifully balanced palate exhibits flavors of crisp pear and apple, caramel and crème brulee. The wine has medium body with a smooth richness and juicy acid. Structure adds to the complexity and food friendliness of this wine. The toasted oak percentage keeps the same fresh fruit character on the aroma while still maintaining enticing notes of toasty oak.Vineyard Designation

The Estate Bon Passe Vineyard is located in the southwestern bench lands of Napa Valley, in the Oak Knoll District appellation. This is the second vintage that is 100% estate grown fruit.Production Notes
100% Barrel fermented with native yeast. The wine was aged sur lie and the lees were stirred every 2 weeks for the first 7 months of aging. The wine went through native malolactic fermentation.Winemaker Notes
Sparse winter rain and a warmer February led to a Chardonnay budbreak on the earlier side in mid-March at the estate Bon Passe Vineyard. Ideal weather in June and July seemed to point to an earlier than usual harvest, but cooler conditions in August delayed the Chardonnay harvest until the second week of September, harvesting on September 15.| Download Wine Tasting Notes | |
